Pressure Sore Prevention involves regulating:

  • Pressure
  • Skin Moisture
  • Shear or skin tearing forces

All Medical Sheepskin and Merino wool products do this to varying degrees. It all depends on the GSM. The more wool there is, the better is the protection.

CARE:

All products should be laundered in Woolskin- the detergent and conditioner developed in Australia by the tanning industry. Woolskin conditions and disinfects wool using Tea Tree Oil and Myrtle Oil, reducing the chance of wound infection.

Please Note: If ordinary household detergents, such as Woolite or Tide, are used for laundering , permanent damage of the leather backing may occur.
