good material but incorrectly sewed velcro

Posted by Stuart Card on 19th Oct 2014

I ordered crutch covers because I was having an allergic reaction to the hand grips and shoulder pads. The sheepskin is nice but I was very disappointed with the velcro work: - the velcro on the hand grip covers was sewn onto the wrong sides, causing the covers to be too long in one direction and too short in the other, so they don't wrap completely around the hand grips, and I still have skin contact with the grips to which I am reacting; - there was no velcro on the shoulder pad covers so they fell off each time I used them until my mother-in-law sewed some velcro onto them. Down-Under Wool Response: Thankyou for your feedback. Since receiving your Review, we now add a velcro strap to the underarm pad to stop it from falling off. We have been selling these for over 20 years and this is the first negative feedback for this product. Because there is such a large variation in crutches design, we have tried to develop a universal system. Thankyou again for your input.
