Product Overview

Australian Medical Sheepskin (AS4480.1): M102C

 Recommended by Down-Under Wool:

Features:

The Australian Medical Sheepskin Overlay M102C creates a new level of Pressure Sore Prevention. Large enough to protect from the shoulders to below the buttocks. This Medical Sheepskin offers a very silky, glossy fur for superior pressure reduction and added comfort.

The very dense pile is 30mm deep and is HiTemp wash and Urine Resistant, making it suitable for incontinent users. These Australian Medical Sheepskin Overlays are CSIRO certified Australian Medical Sheepskin, made from 100% Australian select sheep- only 1 in 20 sheep have the properties needed for selection.

HiTemp UR Stamp

The emerald green colour of these premium quality Overlays, together with the Australian Medical Sheepskin stamp authenticates this product. This product will significantly reduce the chance of a person developing a pressure sore.

BE AWAREThere are many green coloured sheepskins for sale on the web. Most of these are NOT authentic Australian Medical Sheepskins. Authentic Australian Medical Sheepskins have a stamp ( see above) printed on the leather backing of the sheepskin. No stamp means fake and the sheepskin probably does not have the therapeutic properties needed for Pressure Sore Prevention.

SIZE:  60cm x 90cm =  24"  x  36 "= Lush, even 30mm, high density Merino pile.

The M102C is large enough to protect the body from the shoulders to below the buttocks. The pile density is the same throughout the whole pad; providing a large area of Pressure Sore Prevention. This allows for body movement and protection...an important issue. The 30mm WOOL pile gives excellent pressure reduction, moisture absorption (keeping the skin dry) and low shear (reducing the chance of the skin tearing) - the major Pressure Sore Prevention factors.

Care:

Easily cared for using a damp cloth for spillage and machine wash for general cleaning. Guaranteed for at least 50 washes in Woolskin. Will give great protection for many years, if recommended care procedures are used.

Machine wash in Woolskin. Use warm water and gentle agitation cycles. Air dry with the leather backing facing up. Wool does best with 15% residual moisture.
