Pressure Sore Prevention is now possible with the regular use of Australian Medical Sheepskin and Merino Wool products. Further challenges occur when the person is incontinent. The only products that are suitable for this situation are  HiTemp UR Medical Sheepskins and Merino Wool Products. All other sheepskin products will break down in the presence of urine and faeces.

Merino Wool products are produced by shearing the wool from the sheep and knitting the long fibers into a backing material. This is now available in a variety of wool pile densities. The highest wool pile density is achieved in the Pressure Smart XD1900 products. Mattress and wheelchair protection is provided by the Hospital Nursing Fleece product line.
